The Success Equation

The Success Equation has been a big driver of our own and our members progress over the last 4 years since we started our nutrition challenges.

It tells us that no matter what the event, our outcome is determined by that PLUS our response. Even if that response is just to remain positive moving forward rather than negative.

If we think about it specifically in scenarios we see in our Bournemouth and Poole gyms we can see how it really comes into its own.

If you're working on your nutrition, and you fall off the wagon and eat totally off plan ALL DAY... that's your event.

It's not ideal, but your outcome isn't determined by that alone. You've got a choice to make on your response.

You can either feel like you've failed and choose giving up and quitting as your outcome, or you can realise it can be just a blip, and get right back on the wagon and choose future progress as your outcome.

Or say work has ran late and you've missed your 5pm class booking. That's your event.

You can choose to be pissed off and moan about work or the class schedule and choose a ruined evening as your outcome, or you can book in tomorrow to catch-up, use the time you've got to do something tonight rather than nothing (a walk or a run), and protect your diary in future to make sure you put yourself first.

Always ask yourself "what can I do?" or "what's my next positive step?" when something unideal happens.

The more often you can do this, it'll start gradually becoming your default response. You'll be a more positive person, you'll start to see the opportunities in challenging scenarios, and most importantly you'll start seeing more success more frequently.

Start using the success equation this week. It works.
